Kindergarten Cop

It has been a while blog reader(s). I have been super busy lately, and believe it or not the Olympics have just really cut into the time I would spend blogging or doing productive things like cleaning, homework, cooking. However, I do have two funny school stories that I just have to share. It turns out, there is a little guy in my class who has been watching me and learning my tricks...

Thursday (lunchtime)
Kindergarten Cop: "Mrs. Edwards, can I eat my dessert?"

(Note: we eat lunch in the classroom three days a week and there are always a few kids who want me to give them the OK to eat their dessert after checking their plate)

Mrs Edwards: (Busy stuffing folders, glances over shoulder) "Sure, go ahead."

Kindergarten Cop: (20 minutes later, loudly to the whole class and other teacher) "Mrs. Edwards sure is smart. She told me I could eat my dessert and didn't even have to look to see if I had finished my lunch."

Caught red-handed.

Friday (walking in line to recess)
Kindergarten Cop: "Mrs. Edwards, you don't follow your own rules."

Mrs. Edwards: "Really, why do you say that?"

Kindergarten Cop: "Well, earlier in the hallway you told us we couldn't walk backwards, but whenever you walk us somewhere in line you walk backwards."

Mrs. Edwards: "Well (sweetie) I have to walk backwards because I have to keep my eye on those guys in our class who just can't seem to behave in line (you)."

I am going to have to start watching my back.
